  • 2 lb boneless pork shoulder or butt
  • 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 green onions (sliced) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut the pork into 1-inch cubes and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Add pork to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Spread the marinated pork on the prepared baking sheet in an even layer and sprinkle sugar over the top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  7. Broil for an additional 3-4 minutes on each side for extra crispiness if desired.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
