Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
- 12 pack Hawaiian rolls
- 11 slices Colby jack cheese (or American cheese)
- 1 large sweet onion (diced)
- 24 dill pickles
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cracked pepper
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1.5 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 2 teaspoons pickled juice
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to broil. Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally and place cut side up on a lined baking sheet. Brush inside with melted butter and broil for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Lower oven temperature to 350°F. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with salt and pepper. Press evenly into a casserole dish and bake for 20 minutes.
- Sauté diced onions in a pan over low heat with butter until browned (about 15 minutes).
- After beef is cooked, drain grease and assemble sliders: layer pickles on bottom buns, add beef slab, top with cheese and sautéed onions.
- Place top buns back on sliders, brush with remaining melted butter, sprinkle sesame seeds if desired, and return to the oven for another 15 minutes until cheese melts.
