Ingredients
- 1 medium yellow or white onion
- 4–5 cloves garlic
- 3–4 tbsp fresh horseradish
- 3–4 tbsp fresh ginger
- Raw apple cider vinegar (enough to fill the jar)
- Optional: raw honey
- Optional: cayenne pepper powder
- Optional: fresh citrus
- Optional: turmeric
- Optional: black pepper
Instructions
- Chop or process the onion, garlic, horseradish, and ginger.
- Slice any optional citrus and add to the jar.
- Pack the jar with prepared ingredients until about ¾ full.
- Pour raw apple cider vinegar over the ingredients until filled.
- Seal and let infuse at room temperature for 3-4 weeks; shake daily.
- After infusion, strain using cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer.
- Add honey and cayenne (if desired) to taste; mix well.
