  • 4 pounds baby back pork ribs
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the ribs and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  3. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, cumin, and chili powder in a bowl. Rub this mixture over the ribs and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 2 hours.
  5. Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl during the last five minutes of cooking.
  6. After baking, coat ribs with the sauce and increase oven temperature to 460°F (240°C). Bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Broil on medium-high for about three minutes until charred.
  8. Allow ribs to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
